Waiting

Class starts in exactly 13 minutes. I finished my stats exam this morning - came in at 30 pages. I didn't get to reporting in depth on the effect sizes, but hopefully she won't count off too much for that. We didn't really cover it in class. I did talk some about the partial eta squares. Still confused about the d and g's.

Spring break is coming up soon. I am thinking about visiting Kim and Tony in Louisville. I have to see how much it costs to fly. I am not much on driving.

Happy Valentine's Day. Gene and I went to Ciro's for dinner. It was pretty good Italian food. I think the old little Italian guy who owns the place and plays the accordian makes the joint.

Sometimes I get discouraged. It doesn't always seem to pay when you try to be the bigger person in a situation. Sometimes people just listen to the loudest person. It is tempting to start screaming like everyone else, but you know deep down it isn't the right thing to do.

Ten minutes.

I find that I don't have much time to do some of the things I want to do. It is hard when you are sitting in front of a computer all the time. I am sitting sometimes thinking "okay, I have to get this done," but then I end up checking my e-mail to respond to the latest urgent message or opening up Dreamweaver to update a web page or something. Then I realize the diversion and say "okay, I have to stop doing these things until later." It is inevitable to get side tracked. Connectivity is addictive.

Anyway, my prof opened the door to the classroom, so I am going to sit in front of another random computer in that room now.

Later,
Pam
