Flawed

I have come to the conclusion that we are all just fatally flawed. We all have some part of our inner being that is secretly or sometimes not so secretly tortured. It is sad. Life is hard. Happiness is the ultimate goal, but it tends not to be something people naturally are. Maybe that is the point. Maybe it wouldn't truly be happiness if there was no struggle to get there.

I imagine Shakespeare would agree. I don't know though...I think you are perfect the way you are.

As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. "Good teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone."
Mark 10:17,18 NIV Translation of The Bible

I agree with you Pam, I think we all are fatally flawed. Is there any hope for us?

No one is perfect. But while a flaw you may find excruciating may be easily dimissed by another. So many people, each with so many flaws. Perfection is not attainable. But happiness is. There are those out there who find your flaws endearing and easily tolerable. Of this pool of people, there are those whose flaws, while evident, are not damning. You can still love them as they can love you. Just as finding one of these people is not likely, it is not impossible either. Chin up, Pam. I love you.

Hello Pam.Been awhile since we have exchanged thought's about life in general.I check your blog periodically to see how you are doing but have never posted a comment.Today it sounds like you could use a pick-me-up for unknown reason's.Everyone has a bad day so maybe this is your's.It will pass.It look's like Dave has already shared my thought's 100% and probaly worded all of them a lot better LOL.He is so right that NO ONE is perfect. While there are people that think they are and believe that other's should be as well they are not quiet up to reality.Yes we are all flawed in someway, some more than other's whether by choice or circumstance.Either way it's the effort we put into correcting our imperfection's the one's that know and understand us most appreciate.Achieving happiness is only a struggle if you percieve it to be.From the thing's I read about you in your own word's you seem to be overly critical of your ownself sometime's however at the same time I see and admire the effort to achieve your goal's.If you take some time now and then to reflect what you have accomplished already in life I don't think you can be dis-satisfied with the result's.Sure we all have thing's we would have done differently given the chance. All we can do with yesterday is take what we learned, good or bad and apply it to the present and the future. One of the most notable thing's I have learned about you on your blog is you obviously have a close group of friend's that have a sincere amount of care and adoration for you.I believe that speak's out clear and convincingly more than anything about who you are.I don't detect any negativity in their word's.Accept your happiness Pam.You have earned it and are still on a futile quest for more, one day at a time....SB
